Just finished the final part (of four) to our campaign. Here is the write up (with lots more nifty pics) on the Wall of Shields blog. Enjoy. And if you haven't already, check out the previous parts to :) (links on the blog). DBA Campaign Weekend Part Four

Thanks guys. Next up – to finish my Gauls and see how they fare against the Romans. :) |

I like the campaign rules! Simple and effective. |

THanks. So far they are playing great. Mind you they are just at the basic bare-bones level at the moment. Some extra goodies we are working on to add more depth. But overall… SIMPLE! :) |

Very interesting series of posts. Thanks for sharing! Your battlefields look very good! The terrain surface is a commercial mat? |

Thanks :) That is a 2' x 2' foam board that folds up in the middle. It's 2" thick and fully textured on the top surface with flocks. It is in fact commercial (from WarZone terrain). I like it. I added some highlights to it with a sponge and some light green, earth brown, and a little yellow paint. :) Had it for years. |

Thanks for your answer. I especially like all the extra scenery: lone trees, vegetation, stones and trunks you have included. I assume they are not "terrain features" (in rules terms). It is a good trick and not commonly seen in DBA battlefields. It adds a lot to the visual effect. Well done! |

Thanks again :) You are correct. All those single pieces of terrain standing out on their own are there for one reason – to add color and feel. No effect in game play. Even the cows and such :) Terrain is part of the whole effect, so ignoring it really takes away from the experience that is Miniatures Wargaming (imo). Thanks again. Kurtus |
