A reconstruction of this newly identified species suggests that Carnufex carolinensis was 3 meters long and looked a lot like living crocodiles — except it walked on two legs, not four. Researchers led by North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences paleontologist Lindsay Zanno found its fossilized skull, spine and arm bones in 231-million-year-old rock deposits in central North Carolina. Link to article: link I can't take credit for finding this--it was posted on Slashdot and I saw it there. Also--I had no idea where to post this (and didn't want to cross-post it everywhere, but I thought it was cool so wanted to share). |

Hmmm … No leg bones found, so some of this remains conjectural. |

A real back burner project for me is a swamp army. It started with the Reaper Swamp Hag link , purchased because it looked very much like a former supervisor. This would make a useful addition to that army. Grelber |
