The 25th of April 2015 will be the 100th anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli. The Gallipoli campaign included troops from Australia, New Zealand, Britain, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, India, and France, and not to forget the Turks who were defending their country. I've attended the last three Salute and the organisers do a great job. I just think they missed an opportunity to do something that compliments all the Great War events taking place at the moment. So… myself and Nic from Eureka miniatures are holding a 2-up game in honour of Gallipoli so that an ANZAC day tradition can be experienced by those of you fortunate enough to attend Saute! Details will be on the Eureka website shortly. I'll be running the games throughout the day and if you can spin three heads in a row you win a limited edition Eureka two-up set. There will also be some good discounts for those willing to take a spin in the ring. Some come and say hello and help commemorate Gallipoli – Aussie style.

And don't forget Newfoundland. That's where the Blue Putties first saw battle.

The trouble is that this year is so full of anniversaries you could have thrown a dart at which one to pick.

Britain, Ireland, Wales, Scotland?

Salute organisers are giving WWI a pass until 1918. Their choice I guess.

Forgive him – he's an Aussie 😃

Hi Teppsta- technically I'm a Possie mate. Born in the UK but raised in Australia. For our US cousins, that's a cross between a pom and an Aussie. Anyone fancy discussing World Cup cricket? I hear Bangladesh were doing quite well… Cheers, Mike

Hey – I never heard of a Possie before!

( I'm dead jealous of the sunshine! )
