Now the only question is how big are those miniatures? |

Looks good, another means to engage with my kids. Do we get it direct from Fantasy Flight? And when will it actually be released? |

They look escort size at largest. Shame, I need another grand cruiser. |

I'm assuming I'll be trying out the game anyway. "Look for Warhammer 40,000 Forbidden Stars in Q3." I'm sure it'll be available at stores, but our manager hasn't mentioned it yet. Prolly cuz he feels pretty burnt by other FFG 'coming attractions' announcements. Que sera sera, I can focus on Star Wars: Armada until Stars comes out. After all, SW: A will be from… Oh. Oh, well… Doug |

Hmm void stalker BB, Chaos Grand Cruiser, Space marine battle barge, and ork kill cruiser. If they are the proper size the ships alone would be good for BFG. But I have no faith in GW anymore. |

game looks like the old space Viking game |

I played Space Viking to death! |

The game may actually be really good. This board game could be a little too expensive to buy just for the playing pieces aswell. For the record we have played Horus Heresy many times and it is a great game to play as is. link I have cannibalised an old game for the bits though, remember buck Rogers? link |

A Sid-ka-fizz with a cow catcher. How 40K is that? And is the other olive drab one a one armed bandit slot machine? |

I have cannibalised an old game for the bits though, remember buck Rogers? I've used the space ships in Full Thrust, worked out a campaign based on the solar system (I really think one should have campaigns in systems, and meta-campaigns in local stellar groups.) Still trying to work out cheap, plentiful figs to run against the Gennies… For SF Risk-clones, I prefer 2250AD and Fortress America, but it's not horrible to play. I'll be okay if Forbidden Stars is as good, thrilled if I like nearly as much as Space Viking. Doug Edit: Anybody else think they're almost Paranoia troops? |

Did that with three copies of Battlemasters that I got for $10 USD each back in the mid 1990's. Made a profit as well since I sold off most of the stuff that I did not want. Oh and getting over 305 models for what I paid for was a steal. |
TheBeast | 25 Mar 2015 5:51 a.m. PST |
I suspect that won't happen anytime soon with Forbidden Stars… ;->= Between this and Star Wars: Armada, I'm looking to see some serious denting of my store credit. Doug Edit: Speaking of the store, does anyone have a feel if this could be used as a campaign tool? Less for BFG, more for 40K? |

Shows two ships (different sizes) for each side, but doesn't show the Orks. Note the Eldar grav tank and the Land Raider (?) |
