I've been waiting for months for Warlord Games to restock their Bolt Action spray paint range (which was only launched about 18 months ago), so was disappointed to receive an email today in reply to my query about when they would be back in stock to hear that they have been discontinued. After the Battlefront/ Flames of War tank sprays debacle, what is it with being able to manufacture and supply a simple range of useful WW2 colours? Yes, I have an airbrush, but for basic undercoating, the Bolt Action sprays were ideal, and didn't require the tidying up/ setting up/ cleaning that getting the airbrush out involved. |

Is Army Painter not an option any more? I have a can of their Dunkelgelb and it is really good. |

I believe the Bolt Action sprays were made by Army Painter, but aren't available ouside of the Bolt Action branding. I haven't tried the Plastic Soldier Company sprays that were released at around the same time, but it's annoying to find a product that works and then it's withdrawn, especially if you're batch painting and run out. |

Hmmm. I had heard that they were quite good. I recall chatting to the owner of a local model shop a while ago and he mentioned he had trouble getting them in. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the rather stringent laws on exporting aerosol products not making it worth their while. Although another local model shop doesn't seem to have any issues stocking Tamiya aerosols. So I have really no idea. |

I've been told by my LGS that the Army painter Spray Paints aren't coming back. He recommends to use the PSC ones. |

Good morning Dan. Please accept our apologies for having the Bolt Action spray can range discontinued, we understand how this could be frustrating not being able to get the same exact colour again, once you are used to one. While I can confirm that we are discontinuing the Bolt Action spray range (we still have a large quantity of British uniform Brown left but even this one, only while stocks last), we do provide what we believe is a valid alternative with the Army Painter range, whose tonalities are just slightly different from the old Bolt Action ones and they simply have different names. Please check them out on our web store for a full list of sprays available: link Just to cite an example, as mentioned above by Nazrat, the Army Painter Desert Yellow would be a good substitute for the older Bolt Action Dunkelgelb. Please let us know what you think, either here or by writing directly to us at info@warlordgames.com, we will be very happy to read your feedback and improve our ranges together with our supplier, Army Painter! Kind regards, Lorenzo |

I feel your pain. Army Painter discontinued their Navy Ble spray primer after I had used it for the majority of my ACW Union, my son's space marines, and my new Napoleonic French. I scrambled to buy the last 4 bottles in Finland! |
