Drool… this is probably one of the only 15mm sci-fi tracked tanks that i would buy simply because it looks so cool, the tilted turret mounting ring and rear troop compartment reminds me of that on a modern day Mekarva and the general style captures the shape of the Challenger MBT with a slight influence of Gepard MBT added for good measure. However i will be biting my lip and holding off from purchasing any Apocalypse super heavy tank's in the hope that ClearHorizon Miniatures will bring out a three gunned turret variant, im just not sold on those twin front mounted flame throwers with exposed fuel tanks, they would just be a recipe for disaster in my opinion. I'm not generally a fan of multiple-gun tanks, or split-tread designs*, or multiple track designs**, but this is really a nice model. *When the tracks split from the hull and stick out in front of it. *Two or more tracks on each side, one in front of the other. IRL, this is a great way to build up mud and debris in front of the rear tracks and cause jams and thrown tracks. |

I'd recommend some photos from the side in both normal and raised positions. The video shows it, but many people won't click through to that. It's a nice side view, anyhow. (I'm talking about photos, not just the rendering. The rendering is also from a very high angle … |

Good point! I'll take some of those photos and put them up. Thanks! |

I've already got a few of Clear Horizon minis' Nemesis vehicles and I really like the design of them – this looks just as great! I do agree with AVAMANGO on the flame-throwers – I'd much prefer just a plain front glacis between the guns, with perhaps a targeting array on the top where the tanks are. Are they separate pieces from the turret? I should think I can cut them off in any event. |

Hatch in the back is sweet….! Maybe switch out the flame thrower for a beer cooler? |

It's not a flame thrower, it's a twin linked mini gun… Although I can see from that angle why you might think that. I post more pictures soon! |

But what are the two "bottles" behind it? |
MrHarold | 19 Mar 2015 10:07 a.m. PST |
My guess would that it's some type of auxiliary cooling system for the main weapon system, or perhaps a passive defense system? Here are some better pictures:
The chaingun part is separate, so it can be left off or changed. |

Mr Harold, I really enjoyed the painting video. Thanks for taking the time to create it. It showed many useful techniques. The result was very good. Good luck on the new flagship AFV. |

Mr Harold Lovely work. What are the two weathering/pin wash products you used to define the panel lines please? John T |
MrHarold | 20 Mar 2015 7:03 a.m. PST |
Hi John, I show it I the tutorial, but the two products are: AK interactive Enamel wash, for nato vehicles And AK interactive white spirits. Once the acrylic paint dries I do a heavy was of the Enamel wash, let that dry and then use a q tip and paper towel with the white spirit to clean up and remove the wash from the flat and raised areas. |

Nice tank, not so sure about the small guns (gattling lasers/plasma/power guns) on turret front but look easy enough to remove & alter. Any chance of Mecha-tank upgrade, as tracks are soooo old tech these days :-) Regards MMG Hmmm… wonder if he swap one for a Hercules? |

It's still not big enough (and it needs more 37mm gatling guns)…. Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net P.S. It is a nice beastie (and you know I'm just a-teasin!)…. |
