I always planned on repainting and rebasing this old Wizard Tower model in my terrain collection. And as I'm due to become a father in the next week or so, I figured this was a good time to finish off this terrain piece as a sort of "swan song" for this phase of my wargaming career. A final project before real life takes over for a little while, if you will. Read all about it here: link And here are a few pics of the finished product.

Nice! Are the gargoyle faces part of a mold? Oh, and don't fear: your children will learn to enjoy your hobby, too. My son (9) and daughter (6) have painted minis now and love to make set-ups with my terrain. It's good, trust me. |

Yes, the gargoyle faces are Hirst castings. I didn't cast or assemble this tower, actually. I got it in trade fully assembled. Thanks for the encouragement re: kids! |

Really nice work on the surrounding terrain and "weathering" including the leaves |

Looks good! This all comes from one HA mould, including the gargoyles. There's even detailed instructions how to build it on the HA site. |

Nice Work! The Wizards Tower is almost ubiquitous in fantasy gaming, being one of the most common starter molds and models for Hirst Arts. With the rebase and new paint, this really is a standout example though. Love the foliage and especially the rock work on the corner. |
