Stopped in at V Stock to randomly look around for sci-fi books. Found a collection of short stories by Poul Anderson. Worth reading. But it was a whole retro shopping experience. I spent very little for a paperback. Unlike the money I've had to shell out online or at Barnes and Noble even with a 20% off coupon.

V Stock organizes there used books by subject and then author. If I know the name of an author, then I have a better chance of finding books by them. But I never know what they'll have. That's the downside of used books…

"But I never know what they'll have"

I always think this is part of the joy of looking in charity shops, atending jumble sales as well as second hand book shops.

You never know what you might find, sometimes nothing sometimes a gem.

Poul wrote some good stuff.

I also like the Dorsai series, by Dickson, amongst others.
