Some more newly painted troops form this manufacturer, whose work is not well known in the USA. I've painted these two units as being from some of the provinces reconquered by Prussia in 1813-14.

Nice work Peter. I found painting the hat piping a royal pain!

Lovely work, i was actually looking at a pack of them on e-bay the other day, they look very nice painted up.

I didn't find the piping too bad on these Lancashire figures – on my Old Glory ones, yes – in fact, I think I didn't bother with it on them as it was so hard to keep it from overwhelming the base color of the caps. I drew the line at painting on any "Stegen" (lace chevrons) on the sides of the hat – I doubt they were much used in fact, at least in 1813-14.

The pictures on the Lancashire site are, well, pretty lousy, which is one of my reasons for posting these – they look quite well when painted with block colors and a modest amount of stain/wash techniques.

These are really nice. I am also very happy to see that these Flags that I made a long time ago are put to good use.
