I thought that too but didn't want to say. You would presume that potential customers would have a good look before subscribing. |

I would have to agree. More like wargame standard to me. I am not the best painter and the ECW figures look more like what I could turn out. |

Have to say the eyes on those Dracula figures are pretty dire. Should always follow the rule that if you can't paint eyes don't even try as doing it badly ruins a figure. But, that said, the classifications PhilGreg uses are, Wargamer, Collector and Showcase. So these are the middle standard only…..and a $3 USD per figure paintjob at that according to the website. I get the impression that "collector" is a bit of a grandiose title for a basic tabletop standard that has a highlight which the "wargamer" classification does not. The PhilGreg Showcase quality is the best you are going to get to compare with the painters linked above, but even then what those guys charge per figure would buy you a regiment painted and include shipping from PhilGreg. |

I have to agree. For $3 USD I think you get what you are paying for. I'd ditch trying to paint the eyes, as noted above and put the time saved there elsewhere. To me these are a basic wargames standard – still every worth cent to those who want that sort of quality. However, I think some readjustment in terms of the descriptions you are presenting relative to the hobby as a whole and what others achieve would be a good thing to do. |

Its merely a way of 'naming' different standards of painting. They could say a b or c. I dont think Philgreg or any of the other sub continent painting services are trying to trick anyone. That is the best work they do. They call it collector. If you want to buy them you look at them and pay your money. Its not half as embarrassing as the 'pro-painted' nonsense on eBay. Something is worth what you are prepared to pay for it. |

Yip same as my 28mm 'wargamer ready to go' standards I charge a similar price BTW except I do bases according to customers spec as well 'with a bit of flock/cover added hence 'Ready to go' This standard thin is subjective though you either like what I do or not (my customers are on their whole very satisfied, "thanks gents" ') if you feel Philgreg gives value its fair for him to give his paint ups titles for potential customers to gauge from. Cheers and happy gaming. |

I like the painting. Collector is a big word to use around these parts. Leaves too much wiggle room for discussion. Try one coat, two coats and three coats as descriptions Your pricing: $2.50 USD, $3.00 USD and $3.50 USD Simple and easy to understand. Better pictures, lighting and close-ups will go a long way. |

are but three examples of better work, and I don't think any of them claim to be at "collector level." Subjective call, I know. But although that may be how you define your painted offerings, I'd suggest your yardstick is different than many others Yikes, how can you shame poor Phil by linking one of the best Ebay mini painters AND photographers bar none?? That is painter abuse. |
