CP Models adds two sets to its range of SS in 20 mm. Both sets represents the troops engaged against the Polish resistance in Warsaw during the uprising.

You are helping move this action to the top of my "to do" list.

Happy for that my friend!. (smile)

What a disgusting action to game.

Porkmann would have been delighted.

Agreed

Indeed. Why anyone (except Porkmann) would put this anywhere on their "to do" list is beyond me.

I am waiting for the eviscerated Jew figures, and perhaps some dead children for decoration before I really get into the 'period' PS – irony. (I like CP Figures, but reckon it would be wise to re-classify these.)

Are you objecting to the Warsaw uprising as a game setting or the SS sets in particular ?

I have tried to keep these SS sets as generic as possible to avoid comparisons with any real life units.

I'm happy to re-classify these sets, will have to have a think about what to re-name them.

I am surprised that you need it spelling out, but it's the Warsaw Uprising as a game that I don't like the idea of. You may see the initial uprising as something that could be played as an irregular v regular skirmish. But for me it can't be separated from the subsequent destruction of the ghetto and the fate that awaited those that were not already dead. Some of the German units involved were amongst the most criminal of all, and the Home Army were not above an atrocity or two themselves. There are no 'winners' here.

I admit that I had to hunt around your site a bit to find the reference to the Uprising, because the page linked to simply calls them anti-partisan or something like that. Perhaps that would be a better title for the range, though anti-partisan sweeps were often just an excuse to eliminate more 'undesirables'.

What is wrong with gaming the Home Army vs. the Germans? The Poles are very proud of their uprising. Other wars and uprisings are "nice" but, for some reason, this one is "disgusting." I consider it an homage to my Polish ancestors.

I assume no one here would game the Battle of Kings Mountain since Loyalist prisoners were executed afterwards, correct? No one will game the seige of Acre either, correct? And French and Indian War raids on settlements have to be out. There are no "winners" in most of what we game. The hypocracy abounds.
