Hello Gang, This weekend was ConquestSAC 2015 in Sacramento,CA. The Con has been growing over the last few years. This year The Steampunk Society of the Bay Area joined forces and this made for a really fun mix of gaming and LARP in an era I enjoy. Marty and I arrived on Friday and hosted a 28mm Nappie Battle Cry game. We had six excellent players join in. After dinner Marty and I joined Stan Kubiack's Jet Age Aerodome game. A fun few games of Korean era Air combat. I got my wings with a Kill and became a Kill! Sat morning Richard Bliss joined us for a game of Space Hulk and proceeded to kill all of our Marines , as Richard was the Tyranid player. Flea Market on Sat. Afternoon was top class really. I found a couple of small items and Marty and I teamed up to purchased' Man O War' by GW with and bunch of painted ships. Dinner and some Famous Grouse fortified us for an evening of re-learning the WWII board game "Tide of Iron". We did struggle but discovered again that it is a fun game. Sunday AM was a quick game of Zombie and then home. A good Con! Seeing friends and playing games. Clif Pics on flickr link |
