Thanks for posting. I have been tempted by this genre myself.

I think its an easy one, especially if you have FIW and/or AWI stuff laying around. Get those guys to serve double purpose, and suddenly you only have to collect and paint a few monsters, a few characters.

I think it is a little more work for late 19th century European Gothic Horror, though, perhaps if you have FPW or something like that to siphon extras from….

Cool!
I've started painting up some 18th Century Folks, and some "Horror"..so I might have some of this on the way also…

What rules did you use?

A variation on Where Heroes Dare…. some specifically tailored details, with modified activations. Eventually I will get them worked out.

Germantown? Iroquois? I grew up not far from this area and quite near the haunted site of Cherry Valley.

A nice setting for a supernatural encounter. I like hiking in this region still, and the woods can be rather weird at times. Try walking the Hannacroix Ravine alone sometime.

BTW Iroquois legends are also gruesome. The giant man-eating head of Sacandaga, the cannibalistic Stone Giants, etc.

My Germantown is more fictional, based somewhat on the title, Big Trouble in Little Chinatown (hence, Little Germantown)… but the actual region as you point out is a perfect background. Old woods, Hudson River…. so it works all the way around :)
