Now I did wonder why all my links were failing! A new improved website and now there is on line shopping too. They are becoming a commercial venture. It had to happen. westfaliaminiatures.com The home page suggests a lot of new ranges outwith Napoleon, but my biggest worry is where is my favourite 4 wheeled landau? We still get the Tsar and servant (twice actually, once he is labelled as Russian Dice) sitting in the carriage, but no carriage. Hopefully an over sight and I have had a sneak preview of an amazing coach to accompany it |

Deadhead, thanks for the info. Kawe has really taken a leap forward, and the hard work, sleepless nights and casks of dark beer were well spent! I look forward to more Saxons from the talented Paul Hicks in particular. |

The online shopping works great, what an improvement, the site even switched automattically to Dutch. Placed a small artillery order immediately |

Is it my imagination, or are there some Saxon infantry packs missing? The only regulars I can find is pack SA004, "musketeers with alternative headgear." Isn't there supposed to be a pack SA001, which is just "musketeers?" |

I suspect the sleepless nights and especially the casks of dark beer may have compromised the hard work and a few things are missing. Early days. Things went wrong with the British Ambulance and the Saxon 12pdr description, but easily fixed and it will be great The landau is almost unique (but missing), especially with the Tsar. If they were crafty they would even do a seated Austrian Emperor or Prussian King….even the King of Saxony! The ultimate command units and marvellous for vignettes…… There are Saxon Lights in the Workbench bit. Disappointed it did not switch to Gaelic for me, if it can do Dutch for you……………… |

Interesting and robust notes on the wahhabis in the shop.!!! "The Wahhabis were an extremist muslim sect that still is around and a pain to all of it's neighbours. They had countless wars and skirmishes with the Ottomans, the Persians and the then young gulf arab nations. Then and now they fought against their Persian Shia neighbours whom they deem traitors to true islam. Real s but a fun horde to play. Now, someone bring me the head of Turkin Bin Saud. Mersi." I'm very excited by the Persians -I'm going to get a whole army (for DBN…) I see the only thing out for these at the moment is a set of artillery tools!

Sorry I wasn't announcing things, but I went to Wales to get to understand the pleasures of Rugby. I ended up being incredibly drunk and was surprised about the lack of fighting that occurs before, during and after Rugby games… Not at all like Fussball. Anyway – I am still working on that site, and I am not surprised one or two things are missing. That said was the main reason to change the site the amount of orders and the communication. It was just to much to handle beside my day job, my pretty girlfriend and the long walks along the coast of South England. That and I indeed will offer more than my beloved Napoleonics. The chance to do so was there and I am not against it. The Fantasy and SF bits are handled by the son though and I suppose it'll take a while until we see real developments in that field. And yes Wahhabis. Bloody cun*s but a nice mob-army. Perfect for fighting them Ottomans and Persians really. Also – I shall first fulfil the KS before dropping them in th shop I think I owe that to the people that were pledging on that project and made it possible. |

See! Casks of dark beer are all to blame, but then, lack of beer would have resulted in even more chaos. :-(0) Kawe, watch those cliffs while walking along the coast, and if you happen upon smugglers, hide your pretty GF. |

Haha Thanks Mark, I am still doing alright. Things are developing quickly. :--) |

and all seems solved now….. The landau is back, the Russian dice do look like cubes not a Tsar………much more user friendly. Now how about some more passengers for the carriage from the great and the good of Europe? Will be hard to beat the Tsar though! Great casting |

Well, after DoW's army and the French, surely comes the Russians next and then Austrians. Prussians to an increasing degree, as such excellent 28mm figures in the last decade or so. If I had one choice Francis I of Austria would be the obviously commercially viable one, then. Frederick Wilhelm of Prussia maybe, heck, with so many Saxons appearing why not Frederick Augustus? We do lack personalities, but they will not make anyone's fortune. The keenest wargamer or modeller will not buy two Tsars alas. Any of Napoloen's brothers as monarchs….. My one choice would be for Austria………no, actually it would be for Louis XVIII/Orson Welles any day!…….. but that is too much to hope and I have just finished making him for a diorama anyway. I suspect I would be your only customer for him. Happy St Patrick's Day to all. My two younger lads' birthdays too, so quite a day in our house! |

actually others did suggest various Marshals of France I recall. I'll stick with Francis (the Emperor, not the Pope) and Orson Welles just for me! |
