Good for Old West, modern, or whatever? The TVs and modern accessories will be magnetic and detacheable.

Love making detailed interior cantina/taco bars. My Mexican ancestry, I suppose.

Don't game 28mm except at cons these days, but have a nice system for a super detailed Old West or even Modern Mexican Joint.

This is the first stage.

Will have a kitchen building attached to the back, and a window to pass food through into the bar.

Wanted to make it roomy and accessable for interior play, (RPG or otherwise) so low ceiling and no interior walls (as of yet, might through in a divider with large, arched openings)

Bartender will have one inch of sdpace between bar and wall shelves to move around.

Outside will be stucco with lots of exposed brick and weathering.

Any criticism or suggestions?

You want a nice interior for play, you gotta make the roof, walls and facade front smaller. A trade off.

Oh, it will be finished. The hard part is over. Now detailing, spackling and other fun stuff!!!

The floor is giving mepause. Want a grid floor, but it is foamboard which likes to warp if you put too much stuff like paint on it.

Thinking of putting in 1 inch tiles, cut from stone colored/textured linolium. That is…uh…90 NINETY squares! :O

damatoacri15 Mar 2015 10:30 a.m. PST

You can make your own tile or buy at Home Depot & Lowe's

Yes, Damatoacri, but real tile will be too thick and heavy. Goona have to bite the bullet and start mass cutting 1@ squares of stone textured linoleum :(

Can you get access to a heavy duty paper cutter, like this one?

picture

That would make short(er) work of it.

And only use one that weighs a half metric ton. Those plastic ones aren't worth a crap.

Looking good Smokey.

I'd go for rounded top doorways and windows.

Sheet styrene comes in various tile sizes. Get the "sidewalk" set, with 1" grids. It also comes in other, smaller sizes, too, if you change your mind.

Hi Smokey

Saw further up you want to do a tile floor. Saw on The Terrain Tutor's YouTube channel, under the foamboard buildings playlist, how he does tiled floors just using the foamboard base. Looks really good and appears to be quite simple, so you might want to give that a watch. I think the specific video is called interior detailing(?). Hope this helps…
