I have had this piece of plastic for well over a year just waiting for a good use for it. I don't play 6mm gaming – but I do have a couple epic orks. While digging through one of my boxes I found them and though to make a little diorama So for no real reason I decided to make a building for a scale I don't play. But after making it I am not sure it looks right. I do not have any commercial buildings to compare it against. So I'd love to hear C&C about it. Feel free to be honest what would help it. I have think skin. Here is the a handful of pics showing my progress of it.
Using Nailgun nails as sheet metal texture.
And painted!
So does it look in scale? What could help enhance it? Thanks for looking. DZT |

it looks in scale to the miniature; not the fingers and thumg though. |

Yes. And very nice modeling. |

Brilliant work. Excellent use of a zerboz box, though you covered up most of the nice brick detail. The structure itself looks fine in 6mm and since you didn't put any man-sized doorways (a very wise commission) on it, it could work well in 10mm or even 15mm. |

I am glad you like it! Terrement, I will try and dirty it up a bit more. I think part of my problem is that I don't have much scale items to added to it. Windows and lights and stuff that help give the appearance of scale. I do like the idea of trying to make a few newspapers/cans. I will have to make a trip the local model train shop to see what they have. N Scale would be the right scale right? Ordinarybass, I love the zerboz boxes. I have a good dozen of them left and will miss them when they run out. I was able to get the last of the stock 2 for a dollar at the local walmart. It was a shame they never made a 2nd series of them. |
