link In short they are making a movie about the comic book convention circuit and have raised more than $1,000,000 USD in less than 24 hours breaking all the records out there apparently. They aren't even doing a remake of firefly, just a funny documentary I assume or something like it. Not something I'm interested in but I wonder how this will affect the powers that be in Hollywood. |

Bet this would cost a few tens of thousands to produce and distribute (high estimate) with the rest being pure profit. They don't have to sell a single copy of the thing to make out like bandits. Mal would be proud. |

It's a sort of comedy/autobiographical series that appears to be based around Alan's and Nathan's con and professional experiences since Firefly. I hope there's an episode where they are paid to be the voices in a popular video game series and get to shoot it with the super hot female lead from another, much more successful, sci-fi show. Which is what happened in HALO ODST with them and Tricia Heffler! That could be a lot of fun! |
