I recently purchased a Forgeworld Spartan Assault tank. Lovely kit, by the way.
When I was cutting off the pieces from the frames, there were large, chunky, triangular pieces that I saved for use as debris, barricades, etc.
So a week or so ago, I pulled out the box containing the actual model pieces to prep for wash and assembly when I noticed a large chunky piece.
I assumed I had saved it as it was an interesting piece and just forgot to put it with the other debris pieces. So I set it aside on my game table and forgot about it.
A few days later I looked at it, thought to myself that while it's an interesting piece, I had a bunch of the others in the debris box and decided to toss it…
Earlier this morning as I was assembling the model I realized that the piece I tossed is the rear hull to the tank.
Well I searched high and low hoping that I'd actually put it with some other terrain project but nope, it's gone. Yep, I suck. Lol

I feel your pain…..once sprayed primer on some finished troops instead of sealer…..we've all done things…

Been there too, sneakgun – but it was silver spray paint instead of DullCote!

DOH!

As a rule, I keep all model parts in the same box that I use to hold the model(s) I'm currently building. After the model is completed and painted, that's when everything is disposed of. Learned this the same way you did.

I would suggest you contact Forgeworld, tell them what you did, and ask if you could get a replacement.

@VCarter- first I'm going to see if I can make a suitable piece out of plasticard. If I can get a suitable support structure out of that I'll be fine as it's essentially a filler pieces.
I do keep everything until after the build but this was just one of those "Doh" moments.

Good news! I searched deeper into my various WIP containers and found that piece that I thought was the missing hull piece, and was disappointed to see that it was not the actual model piece. So I decided to look in another location, a locker where I keep my hair clippers, and voila!- there it is still in the Forgeworld plastic bag it came in. Yay for me!
