I use metal bases, and then stick the bases on magnetic sheets for transport. Only the two shops I have always gotten these from no longer seem to carry them. i dont know the manufacurer to contact direct.

So, does anybody know where i can get some of these in the USA? i have both 8.5X11 and 11X11 already so either size will work. or others as well i suppose.

Thanks in andvance

Done! And at about half the price of what I was paying hobby stores.

Many thanks Marc

Last time I ran out I broke down and ordered a large roll, 2'x10' of .03 instead of .02 thickness. Noticeably stronger magnet.

Magnet king will sell you magnetic sheets by the foot, which is what I do. the sheets are 2' wide by whatever length you order. Fast service and delivery.

Man oh man, plenty of magnets there. Now if I could just find a hardware store that has 30mmX30mm steel pieces they have some use for. of course they are not all that expensive anyway

I get my magnetic sheeting for boxes from a local sign store. They use it by the roll to make signage for the sides of cars and trucks. I normally buy a couple of feet at a time.

Another vote for Magnetic King. Great service, I did the 2'x50'. That should hold me for awhile!

Dmebust – you THINK it'll last as long time but I burned through my 50' roll pretty quickly and need to order another one.

Magnet King is great to work with. I also had several custom size rolls cut for me.'

Get a decent paper cutter from an office supply store and you can cut your own sizes very quickly. I did a few thousand over a week period awhile back.
