Today i ordered US and PLA battlegroups from O8. iam looking to use it in FFT3 but iam starting to take look at BC since i like Weasel Fast and Dirty system (in some aspects i like it more than Tommorows war) so anyone try it? how the unit are handled is there differences between tank platoons?(if T72 platoon is different than M1 Abrams platoon) and so on |

It's a good system, but it isn't platoon base game. It's company. And no, there aren't rules for specific tanks. You compare the tanks in action and decide how their tech matches up. You can be equal (M4 Sherman vs. PZKW IV), superior (M4 vs. PZKW III with a 50mm), or inferior (M4 vs. PZKW V or better). These comparisons dictate the dice you get and how effective your units are. So it's up to you decide. I'm sure Ivan will be along to give you more. This guy has a write up on the game and there is a link to the playtest version there I think. You have to have Company Commander to make heads or tails of it, but it will give you a good feel for the game. Ditto on the O8 stuff. Five Core Brigade got me to finally bite on 3mm. I mine last week and I like it. The rules feel great for this scale. I'm doing Central Front, 1985 (Third World War and Team Yankee) myself. I've always wanted to do this but never found the right rules or scale… till now. |
