I should be prepping for my Adepticon Mech Attack game, but instead I took a quick break to bash out a couple of fantasy terrain pieces. See more here: link

Posted my comments on your blog page. Like I said there, it looks like something a wizard might build with his "Wall of Stone" spell, which creates a wall with a rough surface. I'd go so far as to say it is an example of a classic fantasy trope. I think it is well done. The door looks fantastic, by the way. Never would have guessed it was a square piece pressed against the door opening… Cheers! |

Thanks! I hadn't thought about the spell purposes. That's a good use for the rock one. Now that I've had it done for a few days I really like the fact that it's flat and I can put it right up against other buildings and things. The door is indeed pretty clever. The designers of the castle used two different pieces of what appears to be MDF-based trim. One side has slats that look like a gate or portcullis. The other has only one groove in the middle so it looks like a double-door. Despite the less-than-ideal faux-rock finish they really put alot of thought into this piece. |

I like the rock, and I'll have to watch for it. It looks like there's a depression under the tree branch, which could be filled with "water" and the whole thing used as a Viking spring, maybe even with Odin's eye in the bottom of the pool. Grelber |

Is it just me or does that tower look rather top-heavy? |
