I have been a bit doubting of the ability of Strelets to produce figures to modern standards, including translating some of their better recent sculpts to acceptably moulded figures, but they do seem to have taken a step forward with their new militia set: plasticsoldierreview.com/review.aspx?id=2394 |

Wow, those arenīt bad at all! It would be nice if they can continue with this quality. I hope now that Red Box and Strelets can take the sting out of losing Zvezda. |

Nice! Many of them could fight at the Alamo, too. |

I was thinking the same thing, they would make great Alamo defenders. |

Agreed – I am hoping the 1812 sledges (Russia that is, not USA) are of similar quality as the masters look lovely |

Actually, having now been over to their site I think (subject to a detailed PSR review) that they have managed it – the sledges look a bit basic, but the figures appear to have come through moulding really well. More money to spend – sigh… |

I've not had any issues with Strelets chunky style. The sculpting is not different from most metal miniatures on the market today. These though do look like they are a step above their previous work. |

Just got the first of the sledge troops – can confirm they are very nice |

Strelets seem to have steadily improved in the last few years. And it is really nice to see War of 1812 plastics. I hope there will be more sets. |
