1. At the end of a turn if both player fail to rally a unit which causes them to both break, is the game a draw? 2. When recoiling are you allowed to change your facing? ( IE you were outflanked and needed to recoil away from the opponent, can you turn to face them while you fall back?) |

I am not the designer, but I'm pretty sure the answer to #2 is that the recoil rule is "flexible" and to do what seems logical to players, which in this case would be yes, change facing towards the opponent who outflanked the brigade. Remember to keep half the recoiling brigade within the lines shown on page 18 though. I don't know the answer to #1, but I'm guessing yes, it is a tie. |

1) This only happened once in almost two years of play testing, but yes, this would be a tactical draw. Wider strategic implications would be based on the historical scenario you're playing and would be a fun discussion for players! 2) drummer called this correctly--you are allowed to adjust facing in a recoil, so long as half your base stays within the recoil arc. It's extremely flexible by design. |
