Hello
After attending Cold Wars, I am travelling round ACW battlefields. I am currently in Sharpsburg. I am next going down the Shenandoah Valley, then to Chattanooga, Murfreesboro, Shiloh and flying out of Memphis.

Can anyone please suggest any hobby stores that I should visit along the way. I am particularly keen to pick up some Old Glory 15s products (specifically French Revolutionary Wars Battle Honours and 19th Century Miniatures Franco-Prussians), as I couldn't get these at Cold Wars.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you

If you could not find the figures you seek at COLD WARS, then you may be returning home empty-handed.

Sadly, few Brick and Mortar hobby stores currently cater to historical gamers. Most barely survive on the patronage of fantasy gamers.

Best wsihes on your quest. Even Sir Percival persevered in his quest for the Holy Grail.

This is your best place for historicals in the area.

Unfortunately, Lord Al's is no longer open. It closed late last year.

If you are still in Sharpsburg area, a store in Martinsburg WV, Your Hobby Place, had a historical miniature selection when I visited in December:

People were friendly and the store had a busy gaming area in the back.

Hope this helps.

I second Your Hobby Place!! I live about 15 minutes from there and Dave the owner is one of my best friends. I know he has a bunch of 15s but not sure if he has what you're looking for. If you don't see it on the shelf though ask anyway. He recently moved locations and some of this stuff is still in the "back room". They open at Noon.

Also just a few shops from Your Hobby Place is the Warm Springs Eatery, a good place to get some authentic "Merican" food
;-)

Thank you.

Unfortunately, I had to keep moving and couldn't wait for Your Hobby Place to open.

I guess that I'll just have to pay the postage to Australia.

Thanks again.

Try Huzzah Hobbies in Ashburn, VA once you cross over the Potomac. If I have time, I stop there on the way home.

Thank you Walt, but I am now in Staunton.
