Greeting good TMPers, I have a question.
I'm looking to make a US Cavalry diorama and need a couple of US 1870's period mounted Cavalrymen. One can be a scout or officer and the other a non animated trooper. They need to be 15mm….any suggestions out there.

I would just ask if anyone had a couple of spare figures lying around.

That's an idea, but if I want to add/change up this diorama, I can go to the source and not limit myself. Thanks 79thPA.

There is a webpage listing most of the ranges that do 15mm US cavalry figures here: link

Blue Moon also has a range but these are 18s: link

Blue Moon Manufacturing makes very nice US Cav figures in their War Paint series. I am doing a similar diorama project using their Last Stand Vignette. Very nice sculpts, a bit larger than some but very good detail with the weapons nicely rendered.

Friekorps, now owned by QRF do good US cavalry in 15mm. Include dead horses, dismounted troopers, Apache scouts etc. Quite an old range, but I still think they look very good.

Oh yeah I have a heap of those; wonderful figures. The dismounted cavalry and infantry are even better.
Im not so keen on the horses in the apache and buffalo soldier ranges but theyre still nice enough – dismounted figures again are great.
