Got in mid-afternoon Friday, roads were fine, but parking was a bit congested.
Managed to get a slot in that night's Sharpe's Pride and Prejudice and Master and Commander and Zombies game, where a silly time was enjoyed by all, even those on the receiving end of my militia unit's Puckle gun. My godson, who up to that point had never seen a wargame in his life, was bored until he was lured into a game of Wings of Glory, where his SPAD XIII wiped out the three experienced players; I think the bug has bitten him.. Mrs.Carp dealt permanent (second) deaths to some WW2 Axis zombies.
Saturday, I got to play the hungry and surprisingly urbane monsters in Pennsylvania Pete and the Staff of Power. Mrs Carp busied herself slaughtering British Imperial troops with her endless supply of Zulu warriors; sadly, technology conquered mass numbers in the end. Due to tight scheduling for Sunday, we pulled out early Saturday evening after closing down Wally' Basement and subsequently the dealers' room. Many greeblies were purchased, as well as a few sets of rules, Good to see so many familiar faces.
