Okay y'all I picked up this kit a few weeks ago on Ebayafter having seen the previous German Panzergrenadier and Pzgrdr HQ Kits. It arrived in the mail today and Folks I was not disappointed, far from it. Everything in the kit was first rate from the excellently rendered infantry to the gorgeous and easy peasy to assemble M-3 halftracks. These also had optional parts for M-5 Halftracks which were Lend-Leased to other US Allies particularly the UK and the Commonwealth. All I can say is if you get one of these kits you will not be disappointed. There is one drawback as I didn't see any BAR men but you can always can always add some and in Flames of War Americans have the "automatic weapons" special rule. In conclusion Battlefront has hit another one out the Ball Park I'm looking forward to more releases like this. Anyhoo salut y'all! Bruce the Texas Grognard |

The new plastics are brilliant, with more to come ( WW2 Russians, Cold War and Pacific this year) I only wish the new Panthers (released officially almost two weeks ago) had appeared even though I'd preordered with my LGS in plenty of time (notice the now lack of F). Keep it coming Battlefront. |

I understand the armored infantry use M1919A3 or A6 and not BARs as far as TOE goes – but in the field they doubtless used whatever they could get their paws on… I think the Bayonet strength site has the TOE and it says no BARs. |

Well done Skarper, Sorry Bruce had meant to say that the TFL's Chain of Command platoon TOE only has BARs for Infantry not Armoured Infantry. |

Armored infantry had a machine gun platoon which had 30 (and 50) cals. Regular squads had rifles for the men. In theory the driver had an smg. Officers and senior nco smg/carbine. Hence the lack of BAR. My impression is that it was unlikely they'd take the 30 cal off their rides except maybe for a planned defence. Although you're not supposed to use a half track like a tank it was fairly common for them to give direct support fire onto an objective. |

All I can say is if you get one of these kits you will not be disappointed. That might depend on what scale it is in. |
