Since I have "stolen" so many ideas from the many bloggers on TMP and LAF over the years… thought I would share an idea that I had, which I have not yet seen anywhere else on the web! Found a product at IKEA which can be used for corn stalks.

I am pretty familiar with the usual offerings of plastic aquarium / floral arranging plants at your typical pet store or craft store, but this was a type I hadn't seen before…

That would work; good catch.

You can also buy those plant/grass squares at Michael's Arts and Crafts. I think they come with about three different types of "plants." You can get a lot of plants from a single square… they're approximately a foot square, but they aren't cheap. Fortunately, Michael's puts out 40% and 50% off coupons regularly and then they are affordable. I used a huge amount of them when I did my 28mm Darkest Africa collection… they are great. You can see the different ones I used along the river in pic 44 of my Darkest Africa Gallery. I also use a lot of them for background and those can be seen in that picture as well at link

Score! Definitely going to pick one of those up. I could go for some Swedish meatballs anyway…
