Very clever. To me, nothing ruins a game like cardboard markers and dice following units around.

I know exactly want you mean.

Remgain they're made from some spare pieces of a door mat that I'd made into wheat fields.
Just cut into thin strips and pulled out some of the "straw" to give an idea of individual strands. Then (and this is important unless you don't mind all the strands falling out) once its based cover the entire thing in watered down white glue. Paint and flock once the glue has dried.
