"Creating new dreams!" Topic

I teach at an inter-city school in Orlando, Florida. I also sponsor the Sci Fi/ Gaming/ Amine Club. Here is my sad song.

This year within one mile of the school we have had, 2 students killed in accidental drive-by shootings, across from the school we have had a gang shoot out during baseball practices, and a number of snatch & grab robberies of student coming and going to and from school.

When I started the club three years age, I had 15 members and I ran it on my own. Last year I had 45 kids and 2 teacher, plus myself. With the help of DAVE School of Design we took 28 kid to Mega Con. the local comic convention. This year I have 75 kids and 5 teachers, including me. We are hoping to take 45 kid to Mega Con this year and we need your help.

That's very nice of you guys to do this. I don't know anything about the site, so what happens with the donations if you don't make your goal?

I have no desire to "poison the well" for this man and his cause BUT I listened to my heart instead of my head and got scammed out of the entire Hudson& Allen "Alamo" set. If I related the details one and all would be saying, "What was he thinking?" I wasn't thinking. It was "for the kids", "underprivileged kids", supposedly a young woman teacher struggling against a heartless system. Packing and shipping was a money pit and I never heard another word about it. "She" conned me big time. When all is silence and I start having doubts I noticed her name on the e-mail. It was a Porn Star's name. And the final e-mail with the porn star's name was to let me know I had been played for a fool. No fool like an old fool.Please, be very careful about this sort of thing.
