I'm considering starting dust due to the great looking models but I'm a little confused about some basics of the game. Is the current incarnation dust tactics? Is it played as a boardgame or a tabletop game? Are older models still usable (like the FFG made ones)? How do the 3 factions compare for play style? Finally, what are the best websites? I checked out the official one run by battlefront but it doesn't seem very active. Thanks. |

There is: Dust Tactics. Simplest version played on tabletop mats with squares are used to determine distance. Dust Tactics Battlefield. This is Dust Tactics without the grid on the tabletop. Dust Warfare. Different rules, more complicated (but not "complicated") All models are useable, but you need the Version 2 cards to play the first two options. Sold as packs
