I yelled "HA!" out loud when I read that sentence in the Official Rules Supplement for Sniper Drones from Alien Dungeon's All Quiet on the Western Front. That was a HA! in agreement. In my last game the tripods faced 20 steam tanks, a Mark IV Monitor, a machine gun tank, 18 armored cars, six machine gun teams, anti-tripod guns, medium and heavy field batteries, giant bear traps and half dug explosive shells, Tesla mines, Clamp Tanks, Rough Riders, and infantry. And the numbers were about even for points. Holy Cr*p. And Industrial Might. The sole Slaver Tripod was killed, stopping the drones and herkyjerk infantry where they stood. The Scouts were stripped away. A handful of Assault tripods soldiered on, bless their hearts. It's nice to see some low value units come on line for the Martians to slow down the tank fire. The Tripod advance was like observing a group bent forward, trying to make their way ahead in a hurricane, the fire was so intense. I ordered nine Sniper Drones today.
