I understand that a new version of BAIT by Peter Pig for the SCW has been produced. As a big fan of the rules I was wondering if anyone had had sight of the new version and could provide a succint account of the changes. Note a friend of a friend picked them up at the York show they don't appear to be on the website.

Well, BAIT stands for Bayonet and Ideology Two. So maybe he picked up 2, which is the latest, but old version.

There is nothing on the RFCM Yahoo group about an updated BAIT. I would be surprised if a new one wasn't mentioned. There is a lot of chatter about the recently released PBI

Cheers,

No it was a brand new version. I have Bayonet and Ideology 2 and have been playing it for years. I had a quick flick through and there were some definite differences. Just wondered if anyone had seen a copy and had a chance to play it. Could be the release of the new PBI meant this has gone unnoticed ? Or they just happened to have a prerelease copy which will emerge at some point in the future?
Cheers.

Perhaps they can call it BAIT as in Bayonet and Ideology Three !

Hello chaps
Sorry for delay, only just saw this!

The BAIT does have some new mechanisms in it to simplify the game a bit. The major re-write will not happen until the end of 2015.
This short changes will not outdate any players SCW army etc but will make the game flow more quickly.

tahnks

Thanks for the info Martin. I was beginning to wonder whether I had imagined things. He did show me the rules in the bar at the racecourse after all !
