Sorry to make my problem into your problem, but I recently started painting Napoleonic 15's again after a 5 year 'rest'. I've got a set of 12 mounted but not started from when I last quit and I can't figure out what they are. They look like some sort of German jagers (not Bavarian as they are not helmeted). They wear a shako with a diamond lozenge plate on it and the shako has a cockade 90 degrees to the right (of the wearer) of front. The jacket is single breasted and the breeches are no help because they are grey service breeches. The only other clue I have is that my written notes state that I was going to work on Wurttemberg Neubron Fusiliers but I believe that is incorrect since the two pictures I have of the Neubron's are helmeted. Anyone have any theories based on the diamond plate, side cockade and single breasted coat…I know it's not much to go on…thx in advance!

The Fusilier-Regiment 'Neubronn' did go on to be Line Infantry Regiment Nr 7 in 1811 and when the regiment was rebuilt in 1813 (having been virtually annihilated in Russia) they were issued with shakoes, which indeed could have had lozenge-shaped plates. However, the shakoes were Austrian-style with peaks front and back and the cockade was on the left.

So I'm afraid I can't tell you who they are (but I am pretty sure you can rule out Wurttemberg).
