Still skeptical; I bought the first one, game had promise, but also a LOT of issues which will apparently now never be fixed.

Got it.

Its very solid, altho I think its a bit overpriced….it feels more like a $19.99 USD game than a $30 USD-ish game.

Has some minor bugs, and (rarely) freezes up sometimes, but overall a solid game.

In a nutshell, its MOO2 2.0, Revised.

Just about everything from MOO2 is here, down to racial customization, the population manager, and most other things.

And oh yeah, this game is Old School.

As if you don't expand, and I mean FAST, you are going to get steamrollered.

The map caps out at 100 star systems (with multiple planets per system, including asteroid belts…), there are wormholes (to help you invade those pesky aliens on the other side of the map), and, of course, there are Space Monsters and other things to find.

Major changes from MOO2 is Infantry/Ground Combat, altho the AI seems content just to nuke you from orbit, mostly.

As for the space combat, it's solid, as all the above Youtube vids will show.

IMO it just needs a few tweaks/minor patches and it will be perfect.

All in all, I give it 4 out of 5 Death Stars.

It's up on Steam, so getting it is very easy.

Well i got it for $19.70 USD and that's for the collectors editon.

All thanks to my 33% discount.

I've only played 2 hours as i had to leave for a dog show 220 miles away over a mountain plateau On friday.

I got permission from fiance to play 3 hours tomorrow.
