Very nice work!

I also read your "Objective Markers" post, which is filed with more great scratch built modelling! One thought if you're still looking for a way to slightly improve the finish on your small oil spill: an easy solution could be brushing on a thin finish of Gloss Medium, available at most art supply stores & hobby shops.
