Interesting and I like the SJ figures but I thought Russian soldiers from this period always had their bayonets fixed? Am I incorrect?

Wow tango. Good find. I was not aware that these figures existed. Looks like I may be making a purchase soon!

Does anyone know if the old Kennington range is available anywhere? SHQ, which bought some of the lines, doesn't seem to have them. It's a shame, as they always looked really good.

20mm would be a great scale to do a Siege of Peking game!

No, you are not. They weren't even issued bayonet scabbards.

So the obvious next question has to be… what's the most effective and durable way to add spike bayonets to 20mm figures?

Good question! (smile)

Actually the bayonet the Russians used was a socket bayonet with a "+" crossection. The end was given a chisel point. Easiest way to do it would be to cut the heads off a bunch of pins square across the back and glue them on the right side of the front sight. That would discourage rough handling as well…
