Interesting and I like the SJ figures but I thought Russian soldiers from this period always had their bayonets fixed? Am I incorrect? |

Wow tango. Good find. I was not aware that these figures existed. Looks like I may be making a purchase soon! |

Does anyone know if the old Kennington range is available anywhere? SHQ, which bought some of the lines, doesn't seem to have them. It's a shame, as they always looked really good. 20mm would be a great scale to do a Siege of Peking game! |

I thought Russian soldiers from this period always had their bayonets fixed? Am I incorrect? No, you are not. They weren't even issued bayonet scabbards. |

So the obvious next question has to be… what's the most effective and durable way to add spike bayonets to 20mm figures? |

Good question! (smile) Amicalement Armand |

Actually the bayonet the Russians used was a socket bayonet with a "+" crossection. The end was given a chisel point. Easiest way to do it would be to cut the heads off a bunch of pins square across the back and glue them on the right side of the front sight. That would discourage rough handling as well… |
