Nah, we need to renovate it to fight off an alien invasion!

Damon.

Damon that idea has already popped up on other places.

It would be funny though if the Musashi was sitting upright(like Bismarck)but with her main guns still in place.

It's my hope that Musashi is still fairly intact and more or less in one piece.

15+ torpedoes and 20+ bombs.

I always thought the Musashi sand closer to shore. Am I thinking of the Shinano or another supership?

Cardinal Ximenez03 Mar 2015 9:21 p.m. PST

Shinano

I'll bet a big chunk of those hits were just to crack the armor and anti torpedo protection. If its anything like YAmato she probably didn't have the cross compartmentalization the way other ships had. It was one of Yamato's weak points. Once the ship flooded on one side there was nothing to stop it from flooding or sloshing to the other and there was limited counter-flooding capability as well.

I like how the CNN newsreader called the research vessel the 'MY OCTOPUS'.

It's a motor yacht (MY) called Octopus dear. It actually says that on the stern.

Tom Bryant from what I read Musashi after suffering torpedo hits on both sides she mostly sank bow first and before she finally sank she did from what I understand rolled over.
