My own humble review of the MK IV Monitor. It's a fun model but not without it's problems. But it paints up pretty. link
Enjoy! |

Thanks for the review. How much did the model cost? |

Nice work. C.Walkley, Warstore has the tank listed as $35 USD MSRP (but they discount it down to $32 USD). |

The hard cover rule book puts the Monitor armor at ten (10). At Historicon mine went down in the big playtest in the second turn. Introduced one in my last game. It stuck around for the whole game, but it was in a target rich environment. I think the Tripods had so much to shoot at, they just never got around to targeting the Monitor. Scenario gave Martians victory if they knocked out four bridges behind the human front lines, so the Martian movement and intentions focused on blasting bridges. So, the Monitor survived. I like the exposed magazine rack on the Monitor that drops shells down to the breech. |

They do attract alot of attention on the table. If the US player has a small force they will probably be one of the prime targets for the Martians. For me I always target Rough Riders first. We play some very big games at my house and had two on the table, they lasted a few turns but both were destroyed. I will have 2 of them on the table for my games at Little Wars. |

The one hit and it's dead element with this tank is particularly harsh but with Industrial Might you might be able to get the tank back again from Reserves, even then it's usually the first think to go down. |

Like a cup of coffee, the only thing better than that is two cups of coffee. So the only thing better than a Monitor has to be two Monitors. Am still searching for the flaw in that statement. |
