Do woods block line of sight? |

Only if they are physically modelled as to do so. IF it's just a few trees on a base, with ample space between them, then you will get a cover save, but LoS WILL be allowed. If they are so modelled as to not allow you to see through them at all, they probably will block LoS depending on height and the height of the model(s) behind. Don't count on anything blocking LoS to a flier, for example. |

Don't know about the latest version, but they used to, sort of, depending if the LOS ran between the two main woods markers on the woods base. Or something like that. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to give the latest correct version. Rob |

It's not always possible to model a wood that will block line of sight while still allowing units to move through it. |

"Real" LOS as presented in the rules is plain stupid. Maybe the first house rule 40K needs (even the only one it really needs)is to chango LOS rules. |

Here is a test. Go out to a heavy wooded area and stand 100 yards away and try to see just how far you can see into them. Quick answer is it would no be far. |
