Philippine soldiers have seized a Muslim rebel base, and bomb factory on one of the southern islands there: link This was a follow-up attack to an ill-fated raid, back in January, where 44 police commandos were killed. AQ militants are reportedly training the Philippine rebels in bomb making, and four Indonesians and an Arab have been spotted in the area. |

Jeez, the Moros (Muslim Philippinos) have been causing trouble for at least the past 125 years that I'm aware of. Did the Spanish have trouble with the Moros, too? |

Yep. The Moros have been a pain in the butt of everyone who has controlled the Philippines. Perhaps only the Japanese didn't have a problem, but I could be wrong. |
