I was home sick today, so I decided to start and finish another building and make the day a little productive. Now I am starting the homestead houses, and misc country buildings, a Church and barn as well.

My zombie town is getting larger. I just received my second wave of vehicles to go with my game. I am using 1/38 to 1/43 scale cars and trucks, and then weathering them on the side.

Thanks for looking

I think it would make a great pub too. You're going to have a pretty cool looking town really quick.

Darclegion….Are you sure that is a Plasticville kit? I just cannot place it but I think it is a much more expensive kit by another manufacturer. If it is Plasticville and was cheap like the rest of their stuff please let me know.

All…..On Ebay I have noticed you have to watch the prices carefully because they are all over the place. Shipping can be absurd. "Buy Now" for $6 USD with $11 USD Shipping for instance. You might be tempted by MTH (Mike's Train House"). They are Built-ups and pre-painted. Problem is they are HUGE. Check out OGR(O-Gauge Railroading) for kits in the $10 USD to $25 USD range. These same kits are sold under several names.

Darclegion….I am really looking forward to seeing what you do with the houses.

hock,
This kit is not a plasticville, it is a unknown manufacture. It came prepainted, and was a snap together type kit that was put together, but not glued, and was smashed up on arrival. All I did was weather it and glue it together and add some detail. I have heard of the MTH, I think I almsot bought one, but they were out of what I wanted. So I went with RailKing instead….but when you put in Railking on ebay a lot of the MTH stuff pops up. I have like 2 6 story buildings and a few 4 story buildings that are all prepainted. This kit was really a test to see what happens when you just weather them up without any paint.

I think it turned out good, which is great because I have 7 more of them to go, but mostly 4 to 6 story buildings from RailKing….but they are dead last to finish. I am doing all of the old plasticville kits and such first.

I do the hardest first then all the easy stuff last.
I just started on the first 2 houses tonight, 2 plasticville or K-line O scale houses they are well used. I paid like $5 USD for each. I have 8 houses I think, 1 church and a barn.

ps, I do not plan on doing much interior detail, just mainly curtains. I will put much of the detail on the outside instead.

Darclegion….How do the "Rail King" scale out next to "Plasticville"? I bought some MTH "cottages" because they were spitting images of Grandt Line HO cottages that are fabulous kits but tiny for 28mm. The MTH are made with very heavy duty plastic, in fact I wonder if they aren't made to be used outdoors. Anyways, even O Scale figures are dwarfed by MTH doors and windows which is a shame because they are good value for money. The plastic used is so heavy duty converting these would be very difficult. I will need to do a search for K-Line on Ebay.

Thanks Again
John

….I have both and they scale up very well. The rail
king brand is a step up from plasticville but pricier and
very monotonous in their variety attempts.

They scale up well with 28mm, but they are slightly smaller than the RailKing buildings. But they are not HO scale, IMO.

They still work. The doors are great. K-Line seem to be smaller end of O scale.
