Went to the Local Walmart to find Pledge with Future and did not see it. Looking online I found this, is it the same stuff. link I'll be at Cold Wars saturday as well, any recommendations for something to look for at the show instead? (Not sure if Painting is the best spot for this but since the board looked really lonely and non of the others seemed any better…) |

That is the same product, re-named, re-branded. I've used it for custom washes (aka, Magic Wash), with the same results as an older bottle of Future. This stuff is dirt cheap to use. You may find other products marketed specifically for miniatures painting, but they will perform the same function, and at the same quality, but they will be much more expensive. For example, The Dip, is actually Minwax Polyshades Urethane Stain, in either Tudor (black), or Royal Walnut (dark, dirty-looking, brown -- my personal favorite). It is available at your local DIY store for minimal money. Or, you can buy Army Painter product (virtually the same product, just re-branded, re-labeled…), for around 3-4 times the price of Minwax Polyshades (available in solvent-based solutions, or water-based solutions). Your choice. Cheers! |

thanks guys! I looked some more myself and they say it is the same stuff. So I will be getting that. I wonder why they keep renaming the stuff? Perhaps it is not that much good for its intended purpose? Otherwise changing the name really messes up brand loyalty. |

The "Pledge with Future Shine", was a transitional label. They wanted customers to realize that the Pledge Floor Shine product was the same old Future product, under a new name and label. Once they felt the customer had grown accustomed to the new name, Pledge Floor Shine, they dumped the Future from the label. Cheers! |

I also did not know that Future is still in the pledge floor wax. It has been so long since I have used it, my local WM also carries the product, but I seem to have forgotten the formulas for mixing, can someone refresh. Jim |

I mix LOTS of pledge with just enough paint of the desired color, say 20 to 1 at least. |

There are videos, as well as blog pages discussing the mixtures. I'd suggest an Internet search for plenty of results, including videos demonstrating the results. Cheers! |

where can I buy the product in the UK? |
Sgt Slag | 06 Mar 2015 1:44 p.m. PST |
Maddaz111, it should be available at your grocer, or wherever they sell floor care products. I believe it was known as "Klear", over the pond. Best of luck. Cheers! |

I also did not know that Future is still in the pledge floor wax. Ya that would be helpful. Maybe it's on the fine print on the back label. In the "about this product" section of the provided link, it says: Keep your floor clean and smooth with Pledge Floor Finish with Future Shine…………… Pledge Future Shine has no wax and is enhanced with acrylic protection. So they do mention Future and acrylic, just not on the label, where it would be helpful. |

There is a coupon in our Sunday Paper for any Johnson Pledge Floor Finish--$1.50 off! That brings it down a considerable amount. |
