There will be a DBMM tournament at NJCon this year. China and her Central Asian steppe, Korean and Japanese enemies. However, any army is welcome to join us.

All armies are to be 400 points, with one list. Two games of 3 1/2 hours, will be played. 1st game begins at 9:00am and the 2nd at 1:30pm.

We are planning on running the 240th Anniversary of Bunker (Breed's) Hill which falls just a few days after the convention.

The game will be played on custom built terrain originally created by Rick the Flag Dude and featured in WI several years ago. Game will be in 28mm… still undecided as to what rules we will be using though.

Should be fun!

Is a Parthian Army acceptable for the DBMM tournament at NJCon this year?

You listed China and her Central Asian steppe, Korean and Japanese enemies as the theme, so I wondered if the Parthians qualified?

Drusilla199812 Mar 2015 7:17 p.m. PST

Yes, Parthians are allowed.

LAst Year the most stunning game at NJCON was the Pegasus Bridge game.

What kind of wargaming Eye Candy is planned for this year?

NJCON Fire in the East31 Mar 2015 5:54 a.m. PST

Gamers,
There are a couple of nice pieces of eye candy planned for this year. The quality of the games is typically very high, but here are some highlights.

First there is a magnificent 240th Anniversary Battle of Breed's Hill game in 28mm that was shown in Wargamers Illustrated several years back. This beautiful terrain piece was created by Rick the Flag Dude.

For the Waterloo 200th anniversary (during the week of our convention by the way) the NYWA gaming group has a massive project for Waterloo in progress. From the pictures I've seen this is going to be an awesome display.
Battles for La Haye Sainte and Hougoumont in 28 mm.
Other Waterloo 200 games are planned as well including the epic struggle for Plancenoit.

Tournament update
Flames of War, DBMM, SAGA tournaments are taking shape. Look for news announcements shortly.

Cy Taylor will be conducting demonstration of the hot new Ancient Rules "L'ART DE LA GUERRE" to be followed by LADLG gaming.

We are a little over 2 months away!

Vendors at this time: Windsword LLC, Maplewood Hobbies, Brigade Games, Silver Eagle, Age of Glory, Gary Green's Warstore and On Military Matters.

Just a reminder to send in a game for NJCON in June.

Whether you are a veteran GM or a novice, NJCON is a well run, well attended convention with a great mix of events. The Breed's Hill and Waterloo games should be great.

I have run games there in the past. Always a good time.

Go to the web page and check it out. If you go, you'll enjoy it, especially the food trucks.

Hope to see you there.

Hello Friends of NJCON-Fire in the East!
There is a little over two weeks to go before this years PEL is published on our webpage. At that time pre-registration for the convention will be open to the public!

The weekend pre-registration fee is a very low rate of $16 USD for both days of the show (Fri & Sat)
You will be able to sign-up for games at the time you register.

GM's are encouraged to submit their games before the end of the month so your games are listed in the PEL and eligible for online player sign-ups.

On-line GM Registration:

We look forward to seeing you all very soon!
