Just finished painting and basing the Leven 6mm Papelotte. Very nice model and comes up a treat.

Great Work! Realistic! I saved the "pictures" so that I can attempt to paint it.
NOW! All we need is some Adler French to drive those Brits out!

Very nice piece.

18cTexan – a nice building to paint. I paint on dark grey after a black undercoat with Games Workshop layer paint white; it gives an uneven cover and needs a few costs but given a better level of realism than a white that has too good a coverage.

Hope you Papelotte goes well

cheers

How many "Brits" in Papelotte on the real big day I have to ask?

pushing tin04 Mar 2015 12:38 p.m. PST

Plenty…of the 'German' kind :)

while only to give an idea of the size and how well the model goes with Adler figures, I did check who was there and the general area was Bernhard of Saxe-Weimer's Brigade and some Nassau in Papelotte. Unfortunately my British are for the Peninsular so far and none of the various allied troops at Waterloo as yet. Will have to get on to some to go with all the buildings I am doing for the battle!

Nassau troops held it all day I believe. Resisting several French attacks. They were finally ejected by the Prussians who mistook them for the French. After the mistake was realized they resumed their positions.
