Hi all, The Imperial de Toledo Regiment, completes the third unit in General Portago's divsion at Talavera in 1809.
The regiment was hastily rebuilt after the crushing defeat at the Battle of Medellin in March 1809, and unsurprisingly was one of the units that ran from their own volley fire on the eve of Talavera. If you would like to know more about this unit and progress on the project as a whole, then just follow the link to JJ's link Jonathan |

Amazing stuff JJ. I have also been addicted to the Peninsula War since very young (first attempt to refight it aged 14)and an aficionado of the Spanish (have 10 divisions in 25mm – crazy)in general and Army of Extremadura in particular since 1974. Would you be interested in pooling organisational and uniform infos on them? Did you know that your next project Antequera were at Mengibar and Bailen as the 6th Volunteers of Granada? (I don't have uniform details for them). |
