link One of my favourite GW figures, except I wasn't too fond of the last version. This one looks awesome. I like all three versions of it presented. |

It does look nice. I kinda like the flail. |
The Beast Rampant | 27 Feb 2015 5:04 p.m. PST |
Could stand to be bigger. |

Nope, doesn't do a thing for me. |

The first think I thought of when I saw that model from the side was "wow. A winged circus clown on a cycle". I'm a boring tank and human wave IG player so Chaos isn't my cup of tea anyway. |

I think it looks pretty awesome, but oh that price! Damon. |

The one thing I wish they had done was make the head more like one of the versions that came out in the 90s. They had one head that was dog-like with a German looking helmet with a spike on top. It was much like the face on Motorhead albums and it just looked like war personified. These heads are a lot better than the dreadlocks that they had on one of the last ones but that head was better still. When I get one I'll probably assemble it like the one they have painted black. |

LOL wow, $116 USD for a single model? I know GW is pricey but really…. Also, my $116 USD bloodthirster looks like it could snap an ankle in a slight breeze. Xin |

I think it's cool. Expensive, but cool. GW's been doing a lot of models that are 'feet off the ground' lately. |
The Beast Rampant | 03 Mar 2015 8:00 p.m. PST |
And therefore not at all practical for the Wargaming table. But what's new. |
Mithmee | 05 Mar 2015 8:09 p.m. PST |
Once again GW produces an overpriced model that is not worth it money. |
IronMike | 05 Mar 2015 9:29 p.m. PST |
Impressive, but like way too many of the more recent 'centerpiece' figures waayyy too fiddly for my fumblethumbs to paint… |

It is not just $116 USD you need to add in taxes as well. Which means here it would be around $127. USD Totally not worth that sort of money. |

Minus on average 20% because who pays full retail for GW kits, really? So closer to $93 USD, from an online retailer in most cases there's no tax. Still horrendous all things considered but you can get one for under $100 USD with even the most cursory effort. |

Minus on average 20% because who pays full retail for GW kits. GW Fanboyz since many of them jump right onto the band wagon. |

That thing looks like a gaming nightmare. So many things on that model look prone to breakage. I have a few of the original bloodthirsters from the early 90s. I would not take one of these new ones if they were giving them away. The price point of these things is ridiculous. Whether the value (sculpt detail) is there or not is irrelevant. The bottom line is that these are supposed to be gaming pieces, not works of art. They need to be built and priced accordingly. My metal bloodthirsters are robust gaming pieces, this "thing" is not. |

Unfortunately that is GW's current 'modus operandi' – according to a recent interview (post GW) with Rick Priestley he claims that GW is positioning itself 100% behind 'being the best miniatures company in the world' who also make a game that uses said miniatures. In other words, you're meant to paint them and display them and their use in gaming is secondary. Make of that what you will! |

So many things on that model look prone to breakage. Unfortunately that is GW's current 'modus operandi' Yup, which is why most of the things that they are putting out now is nothing but pure crap. |
Bob Runnicles | 13 Mar 2015 9:05 a.m. PST |
I wouldn't say they were crap, as models I think they are (for the most part) beautiful. They are totally not suited to the rigors of gaming though, that's for sure. |
Mithmee | 13 Mar 2015 5:45 p.m. PST |
I have seen most of them and they are crap with all that flowing junk that they have on them. |
