Very tempted by this range but investigating how best to fill the (few) obvious gaps in the range, such as heavy artillery pieces, limbers, draught oxen etc. Can anyone suggest suitable 20mm or 1/72 stuff in plastic or metal (probably from Napoleonic or ACW ranges) that might fit with the Eureka range? Thanks in anticipation |

I would run with bits from the AB ACW range or AB Napoleonic range. These are all 18mm line the MAW range. Also have a look at the Eureka 18mm SYW range where there are some nice wagons and oxen under the Russian range. |

Thanks for some excellent advice. I understand that Patrick at TVAG will be, at last, releasing his rules/guide to this fascinating campaign, and Nic at Eureka tells me that Mexican Mounted Rifles and dismounted American dragoons are now available but not yet listed on his site – so it's fast becoming the 'go to' range for the period. I've asked Nic if he could fill a few more gaps, particularly Mexican light infantry, some more American volunteer regiments and, of course, Ringgold's artillery – can I urge any other interested gamers to drop Nic a line committing to buy as soon as they are available, to convince him to expand the range. Are there any more gaps that could/should be filled? (Yes, I know I've been planning this project since at least 2011, but these things take time!) Simon |
