Second Thunder Ltd are running a KS for a printed version of their Open Combat rules. The rules have been available in PDF for a while and now the aim is to get hard copy printed, with stretch goals being better quality, more colour, more content etc.
I was sold on these rules after listening to the interview on the Meeples and Miniatures podcast:

Looking at that last night.

Have the rules been updated from the PDF version? I'm curious because in general I liked the rules when we played them. The mechanics were sound and the game had a good flow. However, they didn't feel quite finished and our club was looking forward to seeing what a second edition would bring. I'd definitely be interested in an updated print edition, but if this is the current version as-is, I'll pass.

I too enjoyed this game but I'm a little concerned that the stuff I really want -- more content -- will only show up when the KS has more than doubled its original target. The first half dozen stretch goals are really just improvements to the print product -- color pages, shiny cover, etc.

OC funded this weekend. We are getting a very nice hardcover book with some nice additions such as a campaign system. Really looking forward to seeing the finished result.
