Another fictional battle, generated by the A Crown of Paper campaign system.

We haven't fought it out yet on the table, it is going to be quite small and will possibly decide the campaign in the first turn (if I can kill the Duke of York or he captures Henry)

I have really enjoyed the work these guys have put into this set and even though it isn't a mainstream system it gives me a good feel for the period.

Interesting, like the name!

(if I can kill the Duke of York or he captures Henry)

Unlikely to end the campaign in either case. The Yorkists "captured" King Henry at First St Albans in 1455. The wars went on … The Duke of York was killed at Wakefield in 1460. The wars went on …

The beauty of wargaming…you get to play what if…

For those who haven't read the scenarios from ACOP they provide campaign snapshots during the period. So you have situations which are aligned to the events in the following time frames
1455
1459
1460
1460 – 1461
1461 -
Events after 1461 are still in development. The individual campaigns aren't linked so if you manage to achieve a non historical result it is reset atvthecstart of the next scenario. They aren't balanced, if your faction were up against it for real the campaign then you will find it hard in the scenarios. Which I find refreshing.

If you haven't tried them give them a go
